Almost there!

Only the final exam remains. You're almost there!

1. Write three adjectives to describe how you're feeling.

2. If you were to give some advice (or a warning) to next year's Algebra students, what would it be?

3. With the end in sight, and the weather becoming more beautiful than ever, it may be a little difficult to focus during this last week.  Name two things you will do DIFFERENTLY from what you've done all year to help you stay focused?

    1. Write three adjectives to describe how you're feeling.

    Sad, excited, accomplished

    2. If you were to give some advice (or a warning) to next year's Algebra students, what would it be?

Always review the lessons you learned that day. Whenever you are taking a test or quiz, get scratch paper and redo as many questions as you can so you can see if you made any mistakes. Don’t rush. On long tests, skip questions you can’t solve, then come back to them.

I will re-write all of my notes in my notebook, so that I have cleaner notes from the semester. I can also use an application to prevent myself from going on to certain websites such as Facebook or 9GAG. HAAHHAH With these, I can concentrate more effectively and study harder.

  2. 1. I'm worried, happy, and scared. I'm happy because the year is almost over, worried about finals, and scared about going into high school soon.
    2. The advice I would give is to try your best and if there is something you don't understand, come in and ask Mr. Jobe. Review for all the tests and you'll do fine!
    3. Two things I will do differently is to look in the textbook for things I didn't understand well and to go over the tests that were handed back to see what I got wrong and try solving them again.

Only the final exam remains. You're almost there!

    1. Write three adjectives to describe how you're feeling.
    A: Stressed, nervous, happy

    2. If you were to give some advice (or a warning) to next year's Algebra students, what would it be?
A: 8th grade is not always about grades. Even though you don't have a A, it doesn't matter. As long as you try your best, Mr.Jobe will always like you! So try your best, regardless of what your grades turn out to be! Mr.Jobe is a fun teacher!

    3. With the end in sight, and the weather becoming more beautiful than ever, it may be a little difficult to focus during this last week. Name two things you will do DIFFERENTLY from what you've done all year to help you stay focused?
A: I will go home right away to study, instead of playing around with my friends afterschool. I will sit down on my desk and only focus on studying instead of multitasking. And I will try HARDER!

  4. Write three adjectives to describe how you’re feeling.
    Gloomy
    Stressful
    Excited

If you were to give some advice (or a warning) to next year's Algebra students, what would it be?
My advice would be to study for tests and quizzes ahead of time, not just cram everything in your head the day before.

With the end in sight, and the weather becoming more beautiful than ever, it may be a little difficult to focus during this last week.  Name two things you will do DIFFERENTLY from what you've done all year to help you stay focused?
    - I will set up a study schedule, and block Facebook using self control to help me stay focused.

    worried, anxious, happy
If you were to give some advice (or a warning) to next year's Algebra students, what would it be?
The advice I would give to next year’s Algebra students is to ask Mr. Jobe if you don’t understand a lesson. It will affect the next lessons that you will learn.

With the end in sight, and the weather becoming more beautiful than ever, it may be a little difficult to focus during this last week.  Name two things you will do DIFFERENTLY from what you've done all year to help you stay focused?
I will go to public libraries alone and get me focused, because if you go alone, you will be bored and would eventually do your work.

  6. 1. Worried, Depressed, Stressed

    2. Don't try to study on everything all at once at the end of the year, just for the finals. Always review and work hard throughout the whole year, because you really won't be able to cover everything all together. And take notes when Mr. Jobe tells you to! They all have to do with tests and quizzes, so he's asking you to take notes for your benefit.

    3. I will have to keep my phone away from me when I'm studying, because I know I can't stand not looking at it when I get a message or a notification. I will also have to quit staying on ichat all day afternoon, because when somebody starts talking to me, it never ends.

  7. 1. Write three adjectives to describe how you're feeling.
I'm EXCITED in a way because it's almost summer, however it makes me PANIC and NERVOUS when I think that the finals are here.

    2. If you were to give some advice (or a warning) to next year's Algebra students, what would it be?
Well…they would probably want to study before-hand… Like… I think they should study Algebra in the summer so they won't be lost or anything when they are in 8th grade. That method helped me in a way because for now, I'm not as lost as I should be without the study before-hand.

    3. With the end in sight, and the weather becoming more beautiful than ever, it may be a little difficult to focus during this last week.  Name two things you will do DIFFERENTLY from what you've done all year to help you stay focused?
I won't turn on music while studying and I will block the sites that distract me from studying until the finals are over. :)

    Sad, happy, proud

    2. If you were to give some advice (or a warning) to next year's Algebra students, what would it be?

Do all the homework assignments with care and time because they are the best buddies for preparing for all the quizzes and tests. Also review all the previous lessons to make sure you understand everything clearly.

    3. With the end in sight, and the weather becoming more beautiful than ever, it may be a little difficult to focus during this last week.  Name two things you will do DIFFERENTLY from what you've done all year to help you stay focused?

When I get home, I will get away from any distractions, such as, music, movies, video games, facebook and more. Since the weather is getting more beautiful, I will try not to stare outside but only work on the final exam materials.

  9. 1. Write three adjectives to describe how you're feeling.
    Hyper, Worried, Hungry

    2. If you were to give some advice (or a warning) to next year's Algebra students, what would it be?
If I can give the next year’s Algebra students, I would give the advice of listening in class. Throughout the year, I learned that even if you have tutors or hagwons, to succeed in Mr. Jobe’s Algebra class, you have to listen in class. Just because you think you know the material, and you don’t listen in class, you are very much likely to not get a great mark.

With the end in sight, and the weather becoming more beautiful than ever, it may be a little difficult to focus during this last week.  Name two things you will do DIFFERENTLY from what you've done all year to help you stay focused?
Two things I will do differently this year will be deactivating my Facebook and staying Invisible for my iChat status. I figured throughout the year that I have a little addiction to social networking. I saw myself unconsciously going to Facebook or chatting on iChat. It truly got rid of a lot of my time. Therefore, I think staying away from social networks is a good way to stay focused during the finals week.

  10. 1. Write three adjectives to describe how you're feeling.
    stressed, confident, anticipated

    2. If you were to give some advice (or a warning) to next year's Algebra students, what would it be?
My advice to the future Algebra students would be to always listen carefully in class and never hesitate in asking questions. You should never be shy in asking questions because it will only hurt you if you don't.

    3. With the end in sight, and the weather becoming more beautiful than ever, it may be a little difficult to focus during this last week. Name two things you will do DIFFERENTLY from what you've done all year to help you stay focused?
I will block some of the most addicting social networking sites such as Facebook and Tumblr and try to stay focused on just studies. I will have some breaks from time to time, but will try to use my time well so that I won't have to stay up as late.

    nervous, excited, worried

    2. If you were to give some advice (or a warning) to next year's Algebra students, what would it be?
My advice for next year's Alegra students is to always do their homework because it really helps you understand things and gives you an opportunity to ask questions you're not sure of. Also, always ask for help if you don't get something.

    3. With the end in sight, and the weather becoming more beautiful than ever, it may be a little difficult to focus during this last week. Name two things you will do DIFFERENTLY from what you've done all year to help you stay focused?
I will try really hard not to get on ichat, facebook, deviantart, and other websites that can steal my time. Also, I'll try to have healthier meals for breakfast than before (like eating more food with vitamin, etc. like fruits and vegetables)

I'm nervous, scared, and confident after the test.

    2. If you were to give some advice (or a warning) to next year's Algebra students, what would it be?

In Algebra as you learn more and more, you'll reach new concepts that are pretty hard to understand. Also if you don't get something then you should ask someone and make sure you know how to do it because that will come out in future lessons.

    3. With the end in sight, and the weather becoming more beautiful than ever, it may be a little difficult to focus during this last week. Name two things you will do DIFFERENTLY from what you've done all year to help you stay focused?

I will keep reminding my self that its only a week so I have finish well just as if you're at the finish line of a mile run. It would be a bummer to end the year with terrible test scores. So I keep trying to motivate myself and try to stay away from being lazy

nervous, worried and excited to get over with the algebra final exam

    2. If you were to give some advice (or a warning) to next year's Algebra students, what would it be?
I would say don't study for the test right the day before, study day by day, not cramming to the last minute.

    3. With the end in sight, and the weather becoming more beautiful than ever, it may be a little difficult to focus during this last week. Name two things you did DIFFERENTLY from what you've done all year to help you stay focused?
I looked over my tests and fix the mistakes i had. I also tried not going on facebook the whole time i was reviewing for algebra. I also solved more questions on the textbook.

Advice I would give is always do your best and always ask Mr. Jobe if you don’t understand something. Make sure you understand the subject when you learn them and don’t put it off for later.
I will decrease the amount of gaps I have between studying times in my schedule and get my studying done early.

If you were to give some advice (or a warning) to next year's Algebra students, what would it be?
Don’t freak out over tests, just study however much you want. As long as you understand, just relax. If you don’t understand the lesson, go to Mr. Jobe during non-class times

I’ll actually be worried and study for the final, check my powerschool everyday to keep track of how my grades are changing and studying even more than planned if they fall.
